This week has had me moving around various blog themes:
- Discussing a business plan templates ?
- Discussing business life during Covid-19 ?
- Asking business beings about their Covid-19 experiences?
I have settled on: what if the well-structured and thorough business plan doesn’t yield the desired results ? I can eagerly answer what to do with success, its what do I do with what I might interpret as …. FAILURE that’s an interesting question.
First I am going to look for wisdom from the outside:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas A. Edison
How magnificent are these words laid out for us by the man that revolutionized each of our lives. I have always had the Edison and light bulb association, I was not doing this being justice – He developed many more some of which also include the phonograph, the motion picture camera !!
I am always deeply inspired by stories that share struggle and more intrigued when I was unaware, this GOAT I have deep reverence for:
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan
I believe the message is clear to me that failure is inevitable, I start to practice using failure as a guide and use it to keep me moving, I will share this fabulous description by C.S Lewis; “Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.”
If my business plan does not manifest as prescribed which is quite likely reflecting on the wonders of life and current business dynamics = I PAUSE, BREATHE, take some inspiration from the greats that have walked before me and revisit my business plan tweaking and shifting and adjusting, just like a Switchboard !
